Pomerene Hospital Earns American Heart Association’s 2025 Get With The Guidelines®–Rural Stroke Bronze Award

Hospital building with Bronze award from American Heart Association for stroke care.

Pomerene Hospital is proud to announce that we have been honored with the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines®–Rural Stroke Bronze Award for 2025. This recognition is based on our hospital’s performance data from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024 and reflects our commitment to improving stroke care in our community.

The Get With The Guidelines® program is an evidence-based initiative designed to help hospitals consistently deliver the latest, most effective treatments for stroke patients. The Bronze level award recognizes hospitals that have made significant progress in applying these guidelines and improving patient outcomes — particularly in rural settings, where timely and effective stroke care can be more challenging.

This award is a testament to the dedication of our physicians, nurses, and staff who work tirelessly to provide exceptional stroke care for our patients, by following proven, evidence-based guidelines, we’re ensuring that every patient receives the best possible chance at recovery.

Receiving this award places Pomerene Hospital among a select group of rural hospitals nationwide recognized for excellence in stroke care. It also reinforces our ongoing mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the people of Holmes County and the surrounding region.
