2025 Energy Cup Award Winner
Pomerene Hospital Receives Ohio Hospital Association’s 2025 Energy Cup Award

Pomerene Hospital is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Ohio Hospital Association’s 2025 Energy Cup Award for small hospitals. This award recognizes outstanding energy efficiency improvements, and Pomerene earned the honor by achieving the largest energy use reductions from 2023 to 2024 among all small hospitals in Ohio.
Energy efficiency is more than just saving on utility bills—it’s about being responsible stewards of our resources, reducing environmental impact, and creating a healthier, more sustainable facility for our patients, visitors, and staff.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and expertise of our Building Services team, led by Rex Miller, Building Services Director, along with Dustin Lower, Cory Bates, and Jonathan Armijo. Their commitment to improving systems, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and implementing efficient practices played a key role in earning this award.
The Ohio Hospital Association’s Energy Cup Award highlights hospitals that are setting the standard for environmental responsibility in healthcare. Pomerene Hospital is honored to be recognized among them and remains committed to investing in sustainable practices that benefit both our community and the environment.
