Training Kit to Support Lifesaving Education

MILLERSBURG, OH – Pomerene Hospital has received a CPR Anywhere training kit from the American Heart Association, expanding its ability to teach lifesaving skills at community events and health fairs.

The donation was made possible by Gabbi Roszman, Community Impact Director for AHA Northeast Ohio, who directed funds from her community impact budget to support Pomerene’s outreach efforts.

The portable training kit includes 10 mannequins, 10 kneeling pads, 10 AED training simulators, and educational materials on both flash drive and DVD. It will be used by Pomerene’s AHA-certified instructors and mobile health team to provide hands-on CPR training throughout the region.

“Having this kit allows us to bring practical, hands-on CPR training directly into the community,” said Anne Gunther. “We’re grateful for this support from the American Heart Association. It’s a meaningful step in helping people feel prepared to respond in an emergency.”

Immediate CPR can double the chances of survival after cardiac arrest, and this resource will help more people in Holmes County and surrounding rural areas gain the skills and confidence to take action when every second counts.

Pomerene Hospital, rated one of the Top 20 Rural & Community Hospitals in the US, is an independent, private, not-for-profit hospital.  Pomerene employs more than 325 employees while maintaining a medical staff with 80+ physicians. For more information, call (330) 674-1015
