Pomerene Cardiac Rehabilitation Plans to Reopen Services March 2nd

Pomerene • February 12, 2021

Pomerene Hospital is pleased to announce the reopening of its Cardiac Rehabilitation Program on March 2, 2021. After several months of being unable to offer rehabilitation services to patients of greater Holmes County due to the 2019 novel Coronavirus, we are pleased to resume our service and return to caring for the health and wellness of our patients.

If you or a loved one have experienced a heart attack, undergone a heart procedure, or have a chronic heart condition, a cardiac rehabilitation program is one of the best steps you can take to move your health forward.

Pomerene Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation offers personalized, medically supervised programming to help you improve your heart and overall health and wellness. We want to help you through the challenges of your lifestyle habits through exercise training, health education, and stress management.

Our program helps patients:

  • Lessen the physical and emotional effects of heart disease
  • Improve stamina and strength to better engage in daily activities, such as work
  • Reduce risk of having another heart attack
  • Improve eating habits to help lose weight

“Our Cardiac Rehab program through Pomerene Hospital is just one more way to keep your healthcare local and in Holmes County.” Dr. Claudine Dumandan, Cardiologist and Cardiac Rehab Program Director, and her team of registered nurses play an integral role in encouraging and motivating program participants. “Having already seen the physical and emotional benefits our previous patients have experienced; we are excited and look forward to continuing this excellence in care to those needing cardiac rehabilitation!” Renee Conkle, RN-BC, Cardiac Rehab Supervisor.

Cardiac Rehabilitation classes are scheduled twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Pomerene Kinetics Medical Fitness Center, located at 1237 Glen Drive, Millersburg Ohio. All exercise sessions are supervised by a physician.
