Pomerene Awards Nurse of the Year

Pomerene would like to congratulate, Jessica Boal, RN who has been named Pomerene Hospital's 2022 Nurse of the Year. This award is given annually to candidates who are nominated by peers and selected by the nursing leadership team. Recipients are compassionate, knowledgeable, ethical and dedicated to improving patient care and fostering teamwork.

Jessica is a nurse in Ambulatory Care, and she embodies all of these qualities and many more. Fran Lauriha, CNO, says, “She is vital part of our nursing team, and without nurses like Jessica, the care that our patients receive would be very different. We rely on our nurses to provide quality compassionate care. She is an incredible asset to our team.”

We also would like to recognize those employees who were nominated for the award. Tammy Gutheridge, Jessica Boal, Brooke Tulk, Shelbie Murphy, Heidi Burgett and Jenny Wolfe.

On Sunday, October 5, several Pomerene employees and their family members marched in the 63rd Holmes County Antique Festival Grand Parade through historic downtown Millersburg. The Holmes County Antique Festival is more than a parade. Over its two-day run, the event offers antique markets, arts and crafts, live music, classic car shows, and family-friendly activities. At Pomerene, we believe that being part of our community means showing up, not just in healthcare, but in shared moments and local traditions. We’re proud to walk alongside our neighbors, celebrate our county’s heritage, and show our appreciation to our community. Thank you to every team member who joined us.
