What to Expect During Lab Testing


Step 1: Prepare for Your Test

• Follow instructions for fasting if required

• Bring your photo ID

• Bring your insurance card

• Bring your lab order from your provider (if applicable)


Step 2: Sample Collection

• Blood Draw: A quick pinch from a vein in your arm

• Urine Sample: Collected privately in a designated area

• Tissue or Body Fluid: Collected by your healthcare provider


Most visits take 10–15 minutes.


Step 3: Results

• Lab results are sent directly to your provider (patient portal?)

• Your provider will review results and discuss next steps
