Urinalysis is a urine test. They are used to check physical, chemical and microbiological information to diagnose conditions and to check your general health.

Anatomic pathology involves examining the body’s tissues and organs to diagnose diseases. Your doctor may refer to results from a pathologist if you receive these tests.

Cytology is the study of a single cell or small bunches of cells in order to determine if disease is present. This usually involves examining body fluid but may also involve tissue samples.

Tumor marker panels or tests are used to determine if substances associated with cancer (called markers) are present in the body.
