In order to provide a greater degree of protection against the spread of COVID-19 to patients, staff, and the community, Pomerene is implementing additional visitor restrictions until further notice. Effective Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at 12:01 a.m., visitors (non-employees) will no longer be permitted to visit the Hospital except for the following criteria:
Exceptions to the April 7th Revised Visitor Restrictions:
All patients and visitors/caregivers outlined in the exceptions below are required to submit to and pass a personal screening and assessment by Pomerene for any conditions such as fever, flu/cold symptoms and or exposure to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Screenings are conducted at the Hospital Emergency Department entrance and/or at the entrance of all Pomerene facility locations. It is encouraged for visitors to remain in their vehicles, if possible, while waiting.
Exceptions can be made by clinical leadership for emergency situations (i.e. critical care, end-of-life, trauma) and for discharge instructions.
Permitted visitors/caregivers MUST be 18 years or older and must remain in the patient’s room that they are accompanying. Visitors of patients who are suspected to have COVID-19 whose results are either “pending, presumptive positive, or positive” will NOT be permitted to have visitors.
