(Millersburg, OH)- Pomerene Hospital has introduced a new, state-of-the-art Toshiba Aquilion Prime 80-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner, replacing the existing Toshiba 16-slice scanner with significant enhancements in the quality of imaging and dose reduction for patients in the community.
“Coupled with Pomerene’s highly experienced and credentialed CT technologists, the Aquilion Prime ensures delivery of the best possible image quality with the lowest possible radiation exposure,” said Teresa Balder, Director of Outpatient Services at Pomerene Hospital.
The Aquilion Prime CT scanner offers higher resolution images, a larger examination area, faster scan and reconstruction speeds, while providing reduced radiation dosage. CT is a painless procedure which generates a three-dimensional image of the inside of the anatomy.
“We are pleased to continue to provide high-quality clinical performance to meet the evolving needs of our clinicians and patients,” said Claudia Rozuk, MD, Medical Director of Imaging Services at Pomerene Hospital.
Pomerene Hospital is located in Millersburg, Ohio and provides services to a multi county area. To learn more about Pomerene Hospital, visit www.pomerenehospital.org.
