The Pomerene Foundation has announced the availability of applications for its 2016 high school Healthcare Scholarship Program. Now in its 12th year, the program will award a $1,000 scholarship to four senior high school students who are planning to enter the healthcare field. To be eligible, the applicant must reside in Holmes County.
Scholarship applications are available at the following high schools: West Holmes, Waynedale, Hiland, Garaway and Loudonville. Completed applications must be received no later than April 22nd, 2016. Pomerene Foundation scholarships are awarded to students based not only on academic achievement, but also financial need, ACT/SAT scores, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and additional information from the application.

The Pomerene Foundation was created in 1995 with the goal of raising funds to support projects and services that assist the Hospital. The Foundation's mission, "Raising awareness and resources to support Pomerene Hospital's mission," is followed by very dedicated employees. The Pomerene Foundation acts as the fundraising and philanthropic arm of the hospital.
