At its March meeting, the Pomerene Board of Directors appointed two new members.Sheila Knapp and John Henry Troyer joined eight current board members bringing the total of Pomerene’s Board of Directors to ten. They will serve 6-year terms.
Ernest Hershberger, Vice Chair, was also reappointed and will serve an additional 6-year term.
“We have a group of very dedicated and committed people sitting on our Board,” stated Daniel Mathie, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Pomerene Hospital.“We know Sheila and John’s input will play a valuable role in the continued success of Pomerene.”
Sheila is a native of Holmes County who has also lived in Moab, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada. She currently serves on the Governing Board for Faith Bible Church and coordinates the church’s linen closet ministry in partnership with Love INC of Greater Holmes County. She is a graduate of Bellevue University, where she earned a Master of Arts in Managerial Communication, and the Ohio State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. Sheila enjoys reading, watching Ohio State football games, and traveling. She currently works at Bank of America.
John Henry Troyer lives in Sugarcreek with his wife Linda and their four children. He is a minister of the old order Amish, Charm East District, a member of the Pomerene Amish Advisory Committee, and a contractor at Ivan Yoder Builders.
