Our Present and Future
Pomerene Hospital employs more than 350 staff members, has acquired over 150 volunteers and a medical staff of 90 with over 30 active physicians.
Over the years, Pomerene Hospital has undergone several major renovation/expansion projects. The most recent renovation/expansion was completed in 2008. This renovation provided 24 new private patient rooms and 3 semi-private rooms in the Medical-Surgical Unit. We also expanded our Lab area as well as our Same Day Surgery area, and have renovated our Emergency treatment areas as well. Also, we built new Family Waiting areas to serve our patients’ families and friends more comfortably.
Other additions that have taken place over the past few years have included our opening of a Wound Care Center at the Millersburg Medical Center as well as our Pomerene Express Care at the Medical Center in Berlin.
The Millersburg Medical Center not only houses the Wound Care Center, but also Pomerene Rehabilitation Services, the Multi-Specialty Clinic, Pomerene Pediatrics, and various physician offices.
Our Express Care in Berlin (located in the German Village Center) offers convenient, quality, cost effective care for injuries that are not of an emergency nature but do require prompt treatment.
