Pomerene Hospital’s upcoming Health Talk will take place at Keim Lumber in Charm on Monday, October 24th from 6-7 pm.
The talk, titled “Minimally Invasive Procedures: Early Detection is KEY”, will be presented by Thomas Poulton, MD.
Dr. Poulton, who is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, will focus his talk on breast cancer and early detection, as well as other types of diseases that can be diagnosed by using interventional radiology. Offering interventional radiology procedures in Holmes County allows physicians to use minimally invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat breast cancer and other diseases while keeping patients close to home.
Dr. Poulton graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1979, completed a residency in Family Medicine in 1982, and following 7 years of treating patients in his home town, he decided Radiology was his future. He did 5 more years of training at Aultman Hospital, University of Virginia, and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has been a radiologist in NE Ohio for 22 years, and has been the Medical Director of the Aultman Breast Care Center since 1995. His interests include breast and chest imaging.
This event is free and open to the public. For questions regarding the upcoming health talk, please call Pomerene’s Public Relations department at 330-674-1584, ext. 1763.
