Pomerene Company Care To Partner with AultWorks

(Millersburg, OH) April 26, 2012 - As of July 1st 2012, Pomerene Hospital and AultWorks will be partnering to offer occupational health services to Holmes County.

Pomerene’s Company Care Center, located in Berlin, Ohio, will become “AultWorks at Pomerene” in July 2012. The partnership was decided based on AultWorks expertise in the area of occupational medicine. Pomerene felt it was important to stay true to the Vision of being a leader and partner in providing high quality, cost effective care to the community.

“This partnership will allow us to provide a needed service to the community, working with a company who has expertise in this area of healthcare,” stated Pomerene Hospital CEO Tony Snyder. “We feel employers will benefit greatly from this partnership because of AultWorks’ long-standing knowledge in occupational medicine and the full-range of services we can offer.”

“AultWorks at Pomerene” will keep current Pomerene employees on staff at the facility, and will use the month of June to transition to the new operation. No services will be discontinued.

 According to Aultman Chief Operating Officer, Chris Remark, “Pomerene has been a partner of ours for nearly 20 years. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with the hospital, serving the Holmes County community.”

-Pomerene’s Company Care Center provides employers of Holmes and surrounding counties with a range of services designed to reduce health and safety costs in the workplace through prevention, acute treatment and injury rehabilitation. Services include injury treatment, physical examinations, drug and alcohol testing, on-site services, immunization programs, and health and safety education and wellness programs.

-AultWorks is a regional occupational medicine program that has fully staffed medical clinics, onsite nursing programs, a mobile medical unit and educational programs to meet your company’s work-related medical needs. AultWorks offers treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, including X-ray and lab services, immunizations and fracture and laceration care. Periodic and post-offer physical exams are available along with Department of Transportation physicals. Drug and alcohol testing is available 24-hours a day and AultWorks also offers a random management program. Surveillance testing, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiograms and audiometric testing are also obtainable at all AultWorks locations.

-AultWorks also offers travel medicine and provides health and wellness services for area businesses. These services include health fairs, lab services and health and behavior coaching. ‘Lunch and Learn’ programs are made available, along with educational programs on first aid and CPR, and bloodborne pathogen training.
