Pomerene Hospital Identified as a "Top Performer" on
National Hospital Quality Measures
(Millersburg, OH)- Pomerene Hospital was recently identified by the Quality Indicator Project® as a top performer on the National Hospital Quality Measures (NHQM). The Quality Indicator Project is a national organization that facilitates collection of the NHQM data, which are federally mandated for all acute care hospitals in the U.S.
Because of its consistently high scores across all NHQM measure sets, which focus on heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical infection prevention, Pomerene was selected for participation in a national study on best practices associated with high quality performance. The QI Project® team recently conducted a site visit at Pomerene to pinpoint and document best practices in order to showcase practices that can be replicated at other facilities to help improve their performance on National Hospital Quality Measures.
"This recognition is not possible without the hard work of our physicians, nursing staff, and employees of Pomerene Hospital," stated Yasser Omran, MD, medical staff director of Pomerene Hospital. "Everyone here plays a part in the quality care that is provided to our community."
Kim Croft, Quality Director for Pomerene Hospital, was delighted. "This is a big honor for us at Pomerene Hospital. We work hard to provide the best quality care for our patients and it's very gratifying to be recognized like this by the Quality Indicator Project."
