Therapies and treatments provided at Pomerene include daily, monthly, or one-time injections of medications, blood, blood products, and IV fluids. Central venous access device management and PICC line maintenance may also be done at Pomerene Hospital.
What You Need to Know
- Pomerene Hospital provides local access for infusions and injections ordered by family physicians as well as specialty physicians.
- Infusions and injections are performed by our trained and caring staff in the Ambulatory Care department Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- A registered nurse or anesthesia provider performs infusions and injections.
- Patients that require an infusion and/or injection to be given at a specific time after hours may be treated in the Emergency Department.
