EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS. CARING FRIENDS. THE NURSES OF POMERENE HOSPITAL.
"The mission of nursing at Pomerene Hospital is caring for our community's health. Our vision is to be a partner in providing high quality, cost effective nursing care for all residents of greater Holmes County, by incorporating evidence based research and education. We, as nurses, are committed to:
- Effective communication as a team player
- Exceeding expectations of our patients, families, visitors, colleagues
- Obtaining feedback
- Problem solving
- Developing trust by being professional and compassionate
Our Philosophy
We believe that nursing is more than caring for an illness. Nursing at Pomerene is the combination of: commitment, caring, compassion, education knowledge, and technology. Our focus is to provide care that respects the cultural values, beliefs, and practices of our patients and families. We believe, as nursing professionals, that it is our duty to be lifelong learners and educators, incorporating evidence based practice, to further develop and enhance our nursing practice and profession. We work in collaboration with all other disciplines to provide the best possible care for our patients and their families.
We have based our philosophy on the works of Florence Nightingale, Madeleine Leininger and Patricia Benner.
