Computed Tomography (CT)
A CT exam is a noninvasive medical test that obtains images called “slices” that provide the radiologist information to create 3-D images and other views that are beneficial in making a diagnosis. Scans may be done with or without contrast or both. Time required for a CT exam is approximately 15- 45 minutes, depending upon the exam. Some of the more common CT exams offered at Pomerene Hospital are:
- Abdomen/Pelvis/KUB
- Brain
- Chest
- Extremities
- Neck
- Sinuses/Facial Bones
- CTA
CT scans are available seven days a week.
