Community Outreach
Community Outreach offers many classes, seminars, health screening and support groups throughout the year. Pomerene Hospital has a Mobile Medical Unit that offers 4 main screenings for a small fee:
- Cholesterol, Lipid Panel- $13.00
- Blood Sugar & Blood Pressure- FREE
- Cancer Screenings: PSA (prostate)- $13.00
- CA-125 (ovarian)- $24.00
- *Ask about our General Health Panel- $14.00
Locations of Screenings
These are offered each month through the hospital's Mobile Medical Unit at the following locations:
- Mt. Hope Methodist Church (across from Sale Barn)
1st Wednesday of every month – 7:00 am – 11:00 am - Keim Lumber in Charm
3rd Tuesday of every month – 7:00 am – 11:00 am - Berlin German Village Center- Mast Pharmacy
2nd Monday of every month- 7:30 am – 11:30 am
Skin Cancer Screenings 2010
All skin cancer screenings are performed from 8 am to 11 am at the following locations:
- Wednesday, May 12 (MCA Church, Fredricksburg)
- Wednesday, June 2 (Mount Hope Methodist Church)
- Wednesday, August 4 (Mount Hope Methodist Church)
- Wednesday, September 8 (MCA Church, Fredricksburg)
- Thursday, November 4 (MCA Church, Fredricksburg)
