Throughout the past year, Pomerene Hospital has developed a Nursing Certification Program, in which it encourages and promotes its nurses to become certified in their specialty area. Specialty certification encourages professional satisfaction and person growth, validates the expertise in a specific area, and promotes career advancement opportunities. The hospital sees many benefits from the nursing certification process, including improved patient outcomes, public assurance, decreased hospital insurance premiums, and elevated quality.
