Respiratory Therapist
An opening currently exists in our Respiratory Care Department for a casual part-time Staff Therapist. This position will be responsible for covering sick leave. Job responsibilities include duties such as aerosol treatment, airway management and ventilator use.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have an Ohio Respiratory Care License, CRP and NRP. Prior experience is also a plus.



Amish Advocate
An opening currently exists in Community Outreach department for a full-time Amish Advocate. Job responsibilities include promoting and maintaining effective communication and positive relationships with the Amish Community; assisting with promotion of package pricing; receive and process phone calls related to billing, package pricing, and complaints; working collaboratively with the billing department on accounts receivable and other billing issues related to Amish patients; visiting hospital Amish patients; and other activities as delegated.

Requirements:
Job Requirements include a strong knowledge of Amish culture and beliefs; fluent in Pennsylvania Dutch; excellent communication skills; very detail oriented; good computer skills; and collection experience is preferred.



Director of Laboratory Services
This position reports to the CFO and will be responsible for providing overall director for all activities related to Laboratory Services. The Director is responsible for the development and implementation of annual operating and capital budget. The position involves direct supervision within a team environment of all full-time, part-time, and casual part-time staff. The Director is responsible for laboratory operations and test result quality and reporting under the director of the laboratory's medical director. This position coordinates activities with physicians, patients, hospitals, nursing homes, and community. Professional judgment on test results is required under the director of a pathologist. The director is also responsible for the oversight of all activities related to the laboratory outreach program.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates will possess a B.S. degree and Medical Technologist (MT) and certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP). Master's degree (MBA or MHA) preferred. Preferably seven to ten years of progressive management experience in a healthcare environment and at least four years experience under a qualified laboratory director.



Surgery Scrub Tech
A part-time opening currently exists for one Surgery Scrub Technician in our Surgical Services Department. The responsibilities include: Setting up operating rooms for surgery; assisting surgeon with surgery case; maintaining sterile field; decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments; and computer entry.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will be organized, self motivated, flexible and able to adapt to change quickly. They will also possess good communication skills, a current CPR card, a high school diploma, and the ability to be on-call and be available within 20 minutes.



Nurse Midwife
Seeking a Nurse Midwife to provide health care of women with a primary focus of uncomplicated childbirth.

Requirements:
Must possess a Master's and have completed a certified nurse-midwifery program and be licensed to practice in State of Ohio.



Registered Nurses
Openings currently exist in our Medical Surgical Unit, Surgical Services, Emergency Department, and Obstetrics departments for a full and part-time RN's. Responsibilities include providing nursing care to surgical or obstetrics department patients.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a current Ohio RN license, be certified in ACLS and PALS, and will be able to multi-task.



Security Guard
An opening currently exists for a casual part-time Security Officers for the Pomerene Hospital Campus. Responsibilities include providing security for the Hospital campus, investigating security related issues, and escorting employees and/or visitors to vehicles.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have prior law enforcement background, excellent communication skills, schedule flexibility, and willingness to pitch in with other duties as assigned; such as, trash removal or snow removal.



Clinical Documentation Specialist
A part-time (.5 FTE) opening currently exists for a Clinical Documentation Specialist in our Health Information Department (working five hours per day and 20 hours per week). The primary duty of this position is ensuring the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation for patients at Pomerene Hospital. Some additional duties are: reviewing inpatient medical records to identify payer populations, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or health insurances, as directed on admission and throughout hospitalization; analyzing clinical status of patient, current treatment plan and past medical history; and communicating with attending physicians to validate observations and suggest additional and/or more specific documentation.

Requirements:
The successful candidate must develop and apply basic knowledge of the American Health Information Management Association Standards of Coding for evaluation of medical record documentation; meet established productivity targets for record review; and have working knowledge of MSDRG.



Medical Technologist
An opening currently exists for a full-time MT/MLT in our Laboratory. Job responsibilities include collecting specimens, performing ordering and reporting, laboratory test results and electrocardiographs, shares in departmental duties such as quality control, record keeping, inventory control, and lab maintenance.

Requirements:
Qualifications for this position are: MLT (ASCP or NCA) and the ability to work well with others and be supportive of our internal and external customers. Prior experience preferred.



Director of Clinical Quality and Performance Improvement
Pomerene Hospital is seeking a Director of Quality & Performance Improvement. The successful candidate will guide and facilitate Hospital-wide Performance Improvement (PI) processes as well as coordinate the overall PI program. Other responsibilities of this position include:

   · Chairperson of the Joint Commission Continuous Readiness Process which is responsible for all activities pertaining to maintaining full accreditation status.
   · Supervises Care Coordination team members.
   · Participates in various quality and service committee meetings
   · Facilitates education initiatives on PI methodologies and strategies.
   · Oversees the Infection Control program
   · Ensures quality of patient care

Requirements:
Interested candidates will have a current OH RN license along with a BS or BA degree and three to five years of management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed.
